ACI
Informatica
ACI Informatica ACI Informatica,
an entirely owned joint-stock
company of ACI, began its activities
in 1977 as the technological
partner of the Automobile Club
of Italy. ACI Informatica's
field of expertise lies in large
projects with the Public Administration,
ranging from the management
of large volumes of data for
the Automobile Public Register
and Car Tax; to the development
of innovative technological
solutions for the Federazione
ACI.
Today ACI Informatica is engaged
in fielding innovative technologies
to raise ACI's efficiency and
to create greater cost savings
by following a cooperative path
that includes other realities
of the Public Administration.
One example of this is ConiNet
(45% Coni Servizi, 45% ACI Informatica,
10% BNL), a company born for
the management of the CONI's
IT infrastructure. This collaboration
has permitted the Italian National
Olympic Committee (CONI) to
cut operational costs by 30%
and to triple their IT services
in a very short time frame.
Another significant example
is the relationship with the
Crisis Unit of the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs through the
website Viaggiare Sicuri (Travel
Safely). This portal has become
a reference point for tour operators
and every Italian traveler.
This collaboration is once more
strengthening ACI Informatica's
role as the principal outsourcer
of e-government's business processes.
ACI Informatica's activities
are spread over different sites,
between Rome and Turin, counting
475 employees; 200 business
partners; and another 1.500
IT professionals thanks to an
integrated company networking
model.
