Parsec
s.r.l. is a consultancy first
set up in 1987 and focusing
on management change: it also
acts as a shareholder in small-
and medium-sized companies to
sustain the management turn-around.
Parsec operates both as:
- a consultant to the board
or to the shareholder,
- a provider of management tools
and training to staff in order
to increase organisation efficiency.
As a consultant, Parsec favours
a pluriennal approach to the
client, supporting its staff
with professionals aired on
contingency. The aim is to adapt
best practices currently in
use to the very need of clients:
management and IT tools are
then "tailor-made" according
to the budget and human resources,
which are trained to the full
use of the new tools. Parsec
then provides throughout assistance
to finance projects, mainly
in training.
As a provider, Parsec offers
a comprehensive range of standard
and proprietary management tools
on administration, budgeting
and quality. Tools are implemented
on existing procedures in order
to maximize decisional support
to the management.
Starting 1999, Parsec worked
on wireless IT system, thus
developing a strategy to adopt
them as a mean to management
change. Wireless instruments
are better suited to introduce
roles changes whithout upsetting
existing organization, even
in administrative departments.
Parsec relies on trusted partners
with adequate knowledge to provide
the technological support.
The most challenging experience
has been in healthcare industry.
As an early entrant, Parsec
had to the develop itself an
integrated system to track and
manage clinical data and to
relate them to hospital administration
and management. The result is
a proprietary tool - named MEDAC
- which works on relational
databases, whichever the platforms
in use and their omogeneity.
Based on a web interface, MEDAC
assures flexibility both as
an intranet and as a internet
tool, thus allowing the linking
of several facilities.
Parsec is keen to collaborate
with Universities in researches
related to its projects, and
has been a sponsor on a national
Research on Mobile & Wireless
jointly organized in 2007 by
Politecnico di Milano School
of Management and Assinform.
Parsec can bid for outsourcing
contracts with its wholly-owned
subsidiary, Fink s.r.l.
